Bendigo Concreting Co is a referral service. We are not a concreting company, and we think you should know that before you pick up the phone.
Nobody here owns a mixer or pours concrete. What we do is run this website, take enquiries from people across Bendigo who need concreting work done, and pass those enquiries to concreting crews who work in the relevant area.
A lot of sites in this trade are built to look like a contractor and are actually a middleman. We would rather just tell you. When you call the number on this site or send the quote form, your details go to an independent concreter who covers your suburb. They ring you, they look at the job, they give you a price. If you go ahead, your contract is with them and not with us. We may be paid a referral fee by the concreter. That fee does not come out of your pocket and it does not change what you get quoted.
The useful part is saving you the phone-around. Concreting is one of those trades where you can ring six numbers on a Tuesday and get two callbacks by Friday. We keep track of crews who cover different parts of Bendigo and who do different kinds of work, because the person grinding and polishing a floor in a Quarry Hill period home is usually not the same person pouring a shed slab out at Huntly. Matching the job to the right crew is most of the value.
So you tell us your suburb, the rough size of the job and what you are trying to do. We work out who covers that area and does that type of finish, and we pass it on. That is the whole service.
Anything concrete around a home or small commercial site. That covers concrete driveways, slabs for sheds, garages and granny flats, polished concrete floors, exposed aggregate, resurfacing of concrete that is still sound underneath, pavers, and coloured and decorative finishes. Paths, patios, alfresco areas and small retaining work go through as well.
We cannot give you a price over the phone or by email. Anyone who quotes concreting sight unseen is guessing. The cost turns on the area in square metres, what is already there and how much of it has to come out, whether a truck can get near the pour or whether every barrow load goes down a side path on a steep block, and the finish you pick. Someone has to stand in your driveway and look at it.
We also cannot make a concreter take your job. Small jobs a long way out, out around Marong or on the back roads, are harder to place than big ones close to town, and sometimes the honest answer is that we could not find anyone for you. If that happens we will say so rather than leave you waiting.
